LanguageCert SELT exams for Study in UK visas

If you are looking to study in the UK, you may need to prove your English language level in order to obtain a UK student visa.

To prove your English language skills, you must take a 4-skills SELT exam, i.e. a Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking SELT exam at the appropriate level, depending on the minimum UKVI requirement for your visa type.

The minimum requirements per Study visa type are as follows.

If your language competence is higher than the minimum Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking levels required for your visa type, you can choose to take a higher-level exam, which will also cover your application requirement.
